Blood-test pricing in Bangalore is opaque on purpose. The same lipid profile that costs ₹350 in a Jayanagar neighbourhood lab is ₹1,400 in a Whitefield hospital chain. Here are the typical ranges we see across Bengaluru in 2026, and what they should actually include.

Routine blood tests — Bangalore price range (2026)

Test Low Typical High
CBC (complete blood count) ₹150 ₹250 ₹500
Lipid profile ₹300 ₹500 ₹1,200
Liver function test (LFT) ₹400 ₹600 ₹1,400
Kidney function test (KFT/RFT) ₹400 ₹650 ₹1,500
Thyroid (TSH only) ₹150 ₹250 ₹500
Thyroid profile (T3, T4, TSH) ₹400 ₹600 ₹1,200
HbA1c (diabetes) ₹300 ₹450 ₹900
Vitamin D (25-OH) ₹800 ₹1,200 ₹2,400
Vitamin B12 ₹700 ₹1,000 ₹2,000
Iron studies ₹600 ₹900 ₹1,800
Urine routine ₹80 ₹150 ₹300
ESR / CRP ₹150 ₹250 ₹600

The "high" column is usually a hospital chain or a centre in a premium catchment (UB City, Indiranagar 100ft Road, Sadashivanagar). The "low" column is most often a neighbourhood lab in Jayanagar, BTM, Rajajinagar, or Vijayanagar.

Full body checkup packages

Premium / cardiac ₹9,000 - ₹18,000 Above + 2D echo, TMT, full cardiac risk panel

Discounts of 20-40% are routine if you book directly via the centre's website or WhatsApp instead of through an aggregator. Always ask.

Where the markup hides

  1. Sample-collection fee — should be ₹100-₹250 in Bangalore; some centres quote "free" and add ₹400 in "consumables" at the door.
  2. GST — diagnostic services are exempt from GST in India. If you see GST on a blood-test bill, ask for the line item to be removed.
  3. Doctor consultation — sometimes bundled silently. Decline if you didn't ask for it.
  4. Report-courier charge — most labs email the PDF free. Hard-copy delivery should be optional.

Area-wise price patterns

  • Lowest typical pricing: Jayanagar, BTM Layout, Vijayanagar, Rajajinagar, Banashankari.
  • Mid-range: Koramangala, HSR Layout, JP Nagar, Marathahalli, Electronic City.
  • Highest: Indiranagar (premium chains), Whitefield (hospital labs), UB City / Lavelle Road area, Sadashivanagar.

The same chain often runs different prices at different branches in Bangalore — confirm the branch when you ask for a quote.

How to actually save money

  • WhatsApp two or three centres on Locatemycentre with the test list. Pick the cheapest NABL-accredited option.
  • For repeat tests (thyroid, vitamin D, HbA1c) ask the centre for a "follow-up patient" discount — most give 10-15% off.
  • Bundle tests on the same draw. Three separate visits cost more than one panel.
  • Skip the courier fee — accept the PDF.

Prices reflect typical Bengaluru market rates in early 2026 and vary by centre. Always confirm before booking. Informational only; not medical advice.
